Quality assurance across all project stages to de-risk and ensure best practice, safety and compliance.

What we deliver

What’s involved.

EnharComm provides independent engineering oversight and quality assurance for solar PV, battery energy storage and EV infrastructure projects. Representing the project owner’s interests, our team manages technical risks, verifies compliance and oversees quality from initial design through construction, commissioning and practical completion.

An Owner’s Engineer works for you, not the installer. EnharComm provides independent technical scrutiny, practical construction insight and accountable quality assurance to help protect your investment and deliver projects safely, compliantly and to the required standard.

Independent engineering and design review

  • Independently review detailed designs, technical specifications and project documentation to verify quality, compliance and alignment with project requirements
  • Assess design changes, proposed variations and equipment substitutions to identify technical risks and protect the owner’s interests
  • Review contractor submissions, construction methodologies and technical documentation against relevant standards and project specifications
  • Provide independent engineering advice to support informed decisions, cost control and effective project delivery

Construction quality assurance and site inspections

  • Conduct scheduled site inspections to assess installation quality, construction progress and compliance with approved designs
  • Monitor electrical safety, occupational health, safety and environmental (OHSE) requirements, and relevant industry standards
  • Identify, document and track installation defects, non-conformances and outstanding works through to resolution
  • Assess progress claims and variations against completed works, contractual requirements and approved project scope

Commissioning, compliance and defect management

  • Review commissioning plans, test results and technical documentation to verify system performance and compliance
  • Oversee defect identification, rectification and close-out, including post-installation audits where required
  • Review as-built drawings, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals, warranties and handover documentation
  • Verify completion of relevant grid connection approvals, commissioning requirements and outstanding compliance obligations

Practical completion and project handover

  • Provide independent oversight to help ensure the project meets its technical, compliance and quality requirements
  • Assess outstanding works, defects and documentation to establish readiness for practical completion
  • Coordinate final compliance reviews and confirm that required commissioning, testing and approval documentation has been provided
  • Prepare practical completion recommendations and supporting reports, giving the project owner confidence in the quality and readiness of the installed system

FAQ

Common questions.

What does a solar owner’s engineer do?

We independently protect your interests through delivery: reviewing design, inspecting installation, managing defects and variations, and confirming a safe, compliant, commissioned system.

When should we engage an owner’s engineer?

Ideally before construction, so design and documentation are reviewed and quality is managed from the start through to practical completion.

Do you work alongside our chosen contractor?

Yes - we work independently of the installer, holding the contractor to the specification, standards and best practice on your behalf.
